HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Mark dressed up and went with me to visit the health department this afternoon. They all thought Mark was a cutie in the frog costume. Then we went trick-or-treating to three houses in the neighborhood this evening. The pumpkin was given to us by Grandpa Shelby and Granny Jan and the frog costume was borrowed from Cooper.

OUT IN THE WOODS

Today was another beautiful Fall day so we took Mark to Redbud Valley Trail. The trees are changing color so it was a beautiful walk. Mark kicked with glee as we took him on a nature trail. I think he looks like he is having a deep thought in the second picture.

Mark is moving around a lot more. He is rolling and creeping around the house. It won't be long until we have an active crawler, so Mike and I are already thinking about safety issues.

Mark had green beans for dinner tonight. He appeared to like them. I think he is getting used to the green veggies that he is getting.

MMmmm Peas!
Mark was given his first taste of peas today. This was his facial expression after his first bite. He ate a few more bites and then that was enough for him.

A trip to the Zoo
Fall weather is here and the leaves are changing color. Saturday it was cool and we decided to take Mark to the Tulsa Zoo. I think Mark looked at the trees, people, and the chain link fence more then the animals. We were able to get him to look at some of the animals.

I think Mark's favorite animals are his cats. Mark just starts giggling and kicking when he sees one of them. He has touched them a few times, but for the most part they keep their distance. Mark does have fun just hanging out at home with Mom and Dad.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN....

Mike and I took Mark on a grand adventure. Mike had business to take care of in St. Louis so Mark and I tagged along. We drove to St. Louis on Wed. My Dad and Cindy stopped by our hotel when we arrived.

On Thurs. Mike worked and Mark and I ran a few errands and then hung out in the hotel room. Thurs. night Mike, Mark and I had dinner with my Dad, Cindy, Jeremy, and Andrew.

Friday, Mike and I took Mark to the St. Louis Zoo before heading back home.

Granny and Grandpa came over last night to help me with my first Discovery Toys party. Mark was good most of the evening. He had a fit later in the evening, but once he was fed and burped he calmed down.

I put Mike on speakerphone when he calls and Mark just stares at the phone. Mark knows Daddy's voice.

Mark and I took Mike to the airport this morning. Mike went with men from our church to work with Habitat for Humanity in Mobile, Alabama. Mike phoned and told me they arrived safely.

I took Mark to see the doctor today. I thought he had a cold because his left eye has been weeping. I was told that Mark has a virus and pink eye. The photo was taken today. He has been smiling, laughing, rolling over, grabbing toys, and putting his fingers and toes in his mouth. He doesn't like the eye medication, but otherwise he's been very good.
