We have been battling with sleep issues for the last month or so. Mark was sick, we traveled away for the holidays, then Mark was teething. We have been working on getting Mark on a better sleeping routine. He is napping much better and he begins the night sleep just fine. Mark does have some congestion and that was probably the cause of the wakefulness between 3am and 4am this morning. I have been reading books on sleep, but they all seem to say different things. So does anyone have anything that works for them?

I believe in a routine. Every night is the same thing. In the same order too .I bend the routine when I need too. But then it's back to the routine once things are back to normal. I start to hint an hour or so before bedtime that it's time to go soon.

Ours is the bath, books, prayers, lights out, hugs, and then hopefully, sleep. I usually sit at the end of the bed on the glider until he's out. This whole thing takes 1/2 to 1 hour usually.

Every child is special and different in their own way. This is what worked for Copper and I so far, and I hope it helps ya'll too.
