Mark and I went to swimming lessons this morning. Today was the first day that Mark went under water. He did great! I really like this swim class. We sing songs throughout the class so it is lots of fun. I have learned how to hold Mark and how to put him under water. Mark looked a bit surprised the first time he went under water, but he wasn't upset. Mark is given cue words each time he is put under water, so this prepares him for what will happen next. Mark's swim teacher put him under water the first time and then I put him under water three other times during the class.

Good for Mommy and good for Mark! This is such a great way to get used to the water. I took Matt to one of those classes, but he really didn't go for it at all, so I just gave up. It will be so interesting to see the things Mark really loves to do as he is exposed to different ones.
Great job Joanna ! I can tell just by looking at him that Mark is an adventurous little boy. I bet the class was a thrill for both of you! I bet singing songs really helps to make it fun for everybody.

That's so fascinating to hear about. I'm glad he went under water so well. We have a fishy!
