Mark and I went to the zoo today. Mark had his first ride on the carousel. He appeared to enjoy the carousel, but got upset when I tried to put him back into his stroller. Once the stroller was moving, Mark calmed down again. After seeing a few animals, I took Mark over to the shady playground, held his hand, and let him walk around and play on the playground. I think Mark enjoyed the zoo more this time. He got excited looking at the meercats, rhinoceros, flamingos and elephants. He pointed and babbled at the animals.

Kiddie Park is open again, and Mark is already an experienced carousel rider! I'm sure he enjoyed the animals, judging from how he watches the cats at home. I'll bet that was a fun outing.

It sounds like he's the "outdoorsy" type! - Shelley

It seems to me that boys are happier "on the move". It's great fun and a good workout too!

I was just thinking of the "Kiddie Park" today and thinking how lucky Mark is to have it nearby. Such good memories for him, as is the zoo. He and Cooper can compare notes and animals when Mark comes to visit!
