Fun at Kiddie Park!

We took Mark to Kiddie Park in Bartlesville this evening. He rode on the cars, the train, and the carousel. Mark really enjoyed the cars, he signed more and cried when the ride was over. After Kiddie Park, we visited Granny and Grandpa and Mark played the piano and climbed stairs. Mark fell asleep in the car on the way home.

Can I have some money, Dad?

Mark discovered my wallet after I got back from France. Foreshadowing of teenage years, maybe? :-)

Mark and I are home from a wonderful trip to Austin.
Mark took his first airplane trip last week. He was such a good little traveler. I am very blessed that he was content to sit on my lap during the flight.
During this trip Mark was able to visit with Grandma Mary, Grandpa Homer, Auntie Nicole, Cousin Kylie, and Uncle Brandon.

Nicole and I took full advantage of the no-tax weekend and went to the mall. I bought Kylie some clothes and Nicole bought Mark some clothes, we both enjoy being Aunties. :) The kids enjoyed playing in the play area at the mall. Later, Nicole and I had some time alone and enjoyed some more shopping and trip to Barnes and Noble, while Mark and Kylie enjoyed time with Grandma and Grandpa Homer.

Mark seemed to get more walking motivation while in Austin. Mark enjoyed the playground near Grandma's house. Grandma took him there twice during our stay, and he enjoyed swinging and sliding. Grandma's house had all sorts of things for Mark to explore. Mark's favorites were the toys, wind-chimes, a keyboard, and the kitchen cabinet.

We all had a wonderful time. It was great seeing Mark and Kylie together. I think Kylie is going to make a great babysitter in a few years, she was so good with Mark. When we got home this evening Granny Jan and Grandpa Shelby were there to pick us up from the airport. It is nice to be home. I am looking forward to having Mike come home soon.

Mark is 15 months old today!

Mike and I took Mark to his 15 month check up this morning. He was such a good boy. The doctor even commented how good he was at allowing her to examine him. Mark received three shots and there were a few tears but by the time we were checking out he was fine.

This picture was taken of Mark today as he was walking towards me. You can see tooth #7. You can also see a cut above his eye from a fall he had at Granny and Grandpa's house this week. Mark goes head on into everything and sometimes that involves a few scraps and bruises. He is all boy!

Matt & Karin were in town this week. They got to spend some time with Mark. Here, Matt is entertaining Mark with some juggling skills.

Mark is beginning to walk better now. He is gaining more control, and seems to be enjoying himself. He will usually only go a few steps before dropping back down again, but he can go halfway across the room when he wants to.
