Happy Easter!
Easter morning started bright and early in our house. We all needed to be at the church by 7:30am this morning. Mike ran sound for the 9:15am service and I sang in the choir for the 8am, 9:15am, and 11am services. After lunch and a brief nap, Mark found his Easter basket. We then took a trip to Bartlesville. Mark was a real trooper throughout the day. He had a bit of a tantrum at the end of the day, but I think he was just hungry and tired from all the days activities. Mark eventually cheered up and after dinner he helped me paint an Easter egg.

Playtime in the Park
Lisa and I arranged a playtime for Mark and Jacob at a local park on Friday. It takes a lot of energy to keep up with active toddlers. The boys enjoyed swinging, sliding, climbing, and playing ball.

Grandma Mary was here this weekend. Mike was so sweet and stayed home with Mark on Fri, night and Saturday so that Mom and I could attend a Christian women's conference. Sunday afternoon we took Mark to the zoo and took a ride on the zoo train. Mark was just looking at the picture and said "mama (grandma) choo-choo."

Mark is a happy little boy. I like this photo since Mark has his hair messed up and a big grin on his face. Mark has about 85 words now, but new ones seem to emerge everyday. He is beginning to use three words sentences like "more juice please". He also is using words or signs to identify colors. It is so fun to watch him grow.

Beep, beep!

Mark is always telling us when things go "beep". Whenever the laundry is done, or the microwave is finished, or even if a car honks its horn, Mark says, "Beep beep!".

The other day, we were eating breakfast, and the birds were singing outside. I asked Mark, "Do you hear the birds?" Mark listened for a moment to the birds, and then said "Beep beep". I guess birds go "beep beep" just like everything else! :-)
