Vacation Bible School

We had Vacation Bible School at our church this week. Joanna led the preschool music and Mark was in the two year old class. The theme for the VBS was Outrigger Island with the Bible verse "Teach me your way, O Lord and I will walk in your truth" Psalm 86:11a. The first couple of days were a bit difficult for Mark and he was relocated to the toddler class when he got really upset, but by Thurs. he was fine and even came in to see Mommy for music. Today the toddler teachers told me that they were happy that Mark was doing well in his class, but they missed him. Today was the last day of Vacation Bible School, we had a Family Fun night at the church to celebrate. Mike came and took Mark down the inflatable slide twice. Mark also enjoyed bouncing in one of the other inflatables.

Celebrating in Florida. We had a wonderful trip to Florida and celebrated Karin's graduation, Shelby's 70th birthday, and Matt and Karin's anniversary all on the same day! It was great to be with family and to see Mark enjoy his first beach vacation. Mark quickly picked up the words "beach" and "ocean"

On our last day in Florida. Mike, Joanna, and Mark took a trip to Everglades National Park. It was a fun adventure. Mark enjoyed walking the boardwalk trails and looking at the trees, birds, turtles, and alligators.
