We all had a fun and busy weekend last weekend. On Friday, I attended a conference while Mike stayed home with Mark. On Saturday, we participated in the Race for the Cure. We walked the one mile and Mark walked quite a bit of it himself. On Sunday, we celebrated Granny's 90th birthday with a fun family gathering. On Monday, Mark enjoyed a trip to the zoo with Mommy and Auntie Karin. Of course, the zoo trip included a carousel ride and a ride on the zoo train. Mark enjoyed looking at the chimpanzees, meerkats, and bears. He also enjoyed playing in the park at the zoo.

Mark and his green crayonMark really likes to draw. He makes "notes" then gives them to Mommy or puts them on the refrigerator. Today he decided to make a shopping list. I asked him what we were going to get at the store and he said "pineapple". Mark also draws pictures he made a "stop sign" and a "green light" today.

We noticed that we haven't mentioned Joanna's Dad for awhile. He is still recovering, but he is now at home.  Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers.

I Wuv You!
Mark was so sweet last night. He said I love you, Mommy and I love you, Daddy before he went to sleep. It was one of those melt your heart moments.
Mark and I are over our colds and Mark was back at school yesterday. He really likes his two days in preschool. He walks right into the classroom when I drop him off.
Here is a little more about our little one. Mark is talking a lot now. He is a real chatter box. Mark is beginning to label his artwork. A couple of days ago he told me that the yellow crayon marks on his paper were a "yellow choo-choo train". He is singing. He can sing along with us when we sing "Jesus Loves Me","Baa Baa Black Sheep" and the "Alphabet song". He doesn't get all the words, but it is fun to hear him try the tune. Mark can recognize signs, when we are driving around he labels stop signs and railroad crossing signs. He will also tell the driver to "turn", "stop", and "wait". It is so fun to see Mark growing up and learning things.
