Christmas in Austin

Mark had a great time visiting Grandma, Grandpa Homer, Auntie Nicole, Cousin Kylie, Uncle Brandon, and Daisy (grandma's dog). We drove to Austin and Mark was a very good passenger. One of Mark's favorite books is The Napping House so we brought it along. Kylie read the book to Mark on our first night in town.
On Christmas Eve we went to the Family Service at Grandma's church. The kids dress up like characters from the Bible story for that service. Mark dressed up like a shepherd and actually walked with Mommy to the front of the church when it was time for the children to come to the front during the telling of the Christmas story.
After the Christmas Eve service, Auntie Nicole came over and took Mark outside to put reindeer food on the lawn. Santa Claus came and our stockings were filled when we woke up on Christmas morning. We enjoyed opening presents, eating a meal together, and spending time together.

We wish you a Merry Christmas!

Today we celebrated Mike's birthday! Mark also had a Christmas party at school today. His class invited all the parents to watch them sing some songs. Mark decided to just sit in Mommy's lap and didn't want to participate. He isn't much into performing for a group of adults. Nanny and Papa picked Mark up from school and brought him home and when I came home from work Mark helped decorate Mike's birthday cake with a whole bottle of sprinkles. When Mike came home from work, we went out to dinner and then came home to have birthday cake. Mike got to blow out the candles first and then Mark got a turn. It was a fun birthday celebration.
