Mark continues to give his Mommy and Daddy extra sleep. Mark has been sucking on his thumb recently. This new habit seems to help Mark with getting back to sleep when he awakes during the night. I have been reading The No-Cry Sleep Solution by Elizabeth Pantley and some of the information and suggestions in this book have really helped me.

It finally happened! Mark slept from 10pm until 3:45am. This is considered sleeping through the night. :) I am happy with whatever amount of extra sleep I can get.

Mark received a present from Auntie Karin. This present came all the way from Boston. Mark likes his bean pal.

I (Mike) had a rough day this past Monday. I had to take an ambulance trip to the emergency room. I had a moderately severe anaphylactic response to my allergy shots, which I've been taking for a few months now.

I got all sorts of fun treatments - two shots of epinephrine, a shot of Benadryl, and an I.V. of methylprednisolone. However, I was released within 45 minutes. (Once Joanna and Mark arrived, the emergency room staff was all goo-goo about Mark, who was so well-behaved; he quickly stole the spotlight from me!)

The allergy doc and I agreed yesterday that continuing on with allergy shots isn't a good idea. He says he only sees people with extreme reactions like that maybe once per decade. I guess I'm the lucky guy!

In a way I feel disappointed, like a failure, because I wanted to be the "perfect patient" and complete my allergy series...

Mark is 3 months old today! Mark and I went to the aquarium and looked at the fish. Now he is swinging in his swing!

The pictures were taken a couple of days ago. Mark is waking up with smiles this week. He smiles and moves his arms and kicks. Today, Mark and I went to meet my peer staffing group in Muskogee. It was so fun introducing Mark to everyone. They gave Mark some wonderful baby gifts and Mark gave them some smiles and coos. It is strange to be leaving that group since I have been staffing with them for 7 1/2 years. I will miss the people that I worked with for so many years, but I do love my new job as a stay at home mom!

Another first!

Today, Mark rolled over from his tummy onto his back. He only did it once, but it was a great first start!

We put Mark on the scale last night -- 15.1 lbs! He's gaining fast! What a little chunk! :-)
